MY BEBAS: Deprecation of Plain DNS (Port 53)

MY BEBAS Public DNS Resolver will be phasing out Plain DNS (UDP/TCP port 53) in favor of secure, encrypted protocols.

📅 Timeline

  • 22/Apr/2026: Grace period (Plain DNS still available)
  • 30/Apr/2026: Plain DNS will be permanently disabled

❓ Why this change?

To improve the quality of MY BEBAS, we are moving away from Plain DNS because it is:

  • ❌ Unencrypted — exposes user activity
  • ❌ Frequently abused — open resolver scanning & bot traffic
  • ❌ Inefficient to maintain at scale

🔐 New Standard: Secure DNS Only

MY BEBAS will support:

✅ DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH)

https://gg.hitoha.moe/dns-query

✅ DNS-over-TLS (DoT)

g.hitoha.moe:853

⚠️ Action Required

If you are currently using:

  • Router DNS (port 53)
  • Legacy DNS settings

👉 Please migrate to DoH or DoT before the deadline.
